Terms and Conditions of Sale and Reservations
General
Our Terms and Conditions of Sale and Reservations apply to purchases and reservations made via our electronic services.
We use the collective term “electronic services” for our website, mobile applications (apps) and emails.
“Purchases and reservations” are defined as:
Table reservations
Booking of corporate events
Ordering catering and events outside the home
Purchasing takeaways
Purchasing gift cards
Purchasing tickets for events, etc.
In the following, “we” and “us” refer to Restaurant Carl Nielsen, while “you” and “your” refer to the guest/customer who makes purchases or reservations as defined above.
The Terms and Conditions of Sale and Reservations must be accepted in order to complete a purchase or make a reservation.
The use of our electronic services also requires separate acceptance of our Privacy Policy, which is accepted when using our electronic services and thus at the latest when starting the purchase or reservation process.
Only persons over 18 years of age with a payment card in their own name can complete a purchase.
You declare that you are 18 years of age by placing your order.
Table & party reservation policy
Cancellation and changes to table reservations
Cancellations or changes to arrival time, or changes to the number of guests must be made no later than 4 hours before the confirmed arrival time. If you have booked online, you can change or cancel your reservation yourself up to 4 hours before arrival via the link in your confirmation email. Alternatively, you can contact the restaurant directly. If you cancel on the day later than 4 hours before arrival time, the no-show rules apply as described below.
No-show
No-show is just really bad style! Not showing up without notice, or canceling at short notice, makes it really difficult for us to provide a good service and run a business. Then would you be so kind as to cancel in good time, please
Cancellation terms for corporate events and catering services
Cancellation of a pre-booked corporate event, or a catering service, for more than 10 guests must be made in writing by e-mail no later than 1 week before delivery of the service. For larger events, we may require a longer cancellation period, provided that we have mutually agreed to this.
If the entire event or catering service is cancelled after the above time, but no later than 4 days before the event, we will charge a compensation corresponding to 50% of the price for the ordered number. In the event of a reduction in number, however, only for the cancelled number in excess of 25%.
In addition, we may demand to be held harmless for expenses for special agreed services that cannot be cancelled, e.g. music, entertainment, equipment and the like.
If corporate events or catering services are cancelled less than 4 days prior to the event, we are entitled to a refund equivalent to 100% of all services.
A reduction in number of less than 10% of the number of participants is accepted until 24 hours before the event starts, without any claim for refund.
The customer is responsible for covering various expenses, even if they are paid individually, as all costs not paid by the individual participants are automatically debited from the main bill.
Purchases on our electronic services
Order confirmation and collection:
After you have made an online purchase and paid, you will receive an order confirmation by e-mail. The order confirmation contains your order number, which you must present when you collect your order. Online orders must be collected at the restaurant. If the order has not been collected at the agreed time, or subsequently within a reasonable time, we reserve the right to discard the food and not refund the money for your order.
Alcohol:
You may not order alcohol if you are under 18 years of age.
Right of withdrawal:
According to the Danish Consumer Contracts Act, the right of withdrawal area, §17(2) and §9(2), there is no right of withdrawal when ordering food and drinks.
When purchasing gift cards, there is a 14-day right of withdrawal. A gift card is valid from 3 years from the date of issue and can be used in our restaurant and when purchasing on our electronic services.
When purchasing tickets for events, there is also no right of withdrawal according to the Danish Consumer Contracts Act, §17(2) and §9(2)(2a).
We reserve the right to cancel issued tickets at any time due to cancellations. In such cases, we will refund the full price of the ticket.
Prices
All prices for our electronic services are stated in DKK including 25% VAT and excluding any fees. The total price to be paid, including any handling fees and transaction fees for payment by payment card etc. (card fees), is calculated and stated in connection with the presentation of the product or service, where this is possible. The total price you must pay is also always calculated and stated before the purchase is completed and completed.
Any handling fee is added to the price before payment and completion of the purchase. Unless otherwise stated, the handling fee is included in the price stated before the purchase is completed.
A transaction fee for completing the payment is added to the price, cf. below.
Transaction fees
Payment in connection with purchases on our electronic services is made using a payment card or MobilePay. Payment is charged in Danish kroner, and a transaction fee is imposed in accordance with the card provider/payment service’s tariffs, and we do not make any profit in connection with the fee. The amount of the fee is disclosed before the payment transaction is initiated.
Security
Payment information must be entered when placing an order. Payment is made immediately. A larger amount can never be deducted from your account than what you have authorized when purchasing.
We use an approved payment system. All data communication during the purchase, including customer data, order data and payment data, takes place via an encrypted SSL connection. This ensures that unauthorized persons cannot see the data exchanged.
When SSL encryption is activated, a padlock appears at the bottom of the page in most browsers.
We do not register or store your payment card and/or account information without you having explicitly approved this first, e.g. by saving the information yourself on your profile in our app.
Complaints and claims:
The general rules of the Danish Sales Act on complaints and defects apply to purchases made on our electronic services.
If you have complaints about errors in delivery, for example if you have not received what you ordered, or you have received something wrong, please contact us within a reasonable time after you have discovered the error. We will then try to remedy the problem to the best of our ability. Please attach documentation in the form of a receipt and pictures.

Complaints
If we cannot together find a satisfactory solution to a complaint that you have made in connection with your purchase, or other matters you have complained about to us, you can complain to the Complaints Board for Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism via this link: www.hrt-ankenaevn.dk or to the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration.
Force Majeure
Extreme circumstances beyond the control of the parties (force majeure) such as strike, fire, war, failure to deliver and/or other extraordinary events (e.g. natural disasters, Covid), circumstances and measures that are beyond the control of either the guest or us, mutually justify full cancellation or rescission without charge or liability for compensation.
